Better, not Bitter
Be poor and fear the Lord;
Eat vegetables
with people you love;
Be patient and bring peace;
Accept
correction and become wise.
Leaves of autumn
He who boasts
He
can buy people with money
He who brings trouble
On his own family.
Leaves of summer
He who follows righteousness
Loves knowledge
Honours others with humility
And, accepts
correction.
Cancer
S/he who is cruel
Speaks
scornfully
Kills emotions
And brings shame
on the partner.
Drip…drip…drip…
Try to stop the wind,
Try to hold a
handful of oil,
Try to calm a roaring ocean,
Try to quieten a
nagging wife.
Short-cut to death
An ox on the way to be slaughtered,
A deer prancing
into a trap,
A bird going into a net,
A man wandering
after a woman.
Fool’s Pride
Talking endlessly,
Thinking
he (alone) knows,
Shouting in hot temper’
And, acting too quickly.
Parents’ love
Punish and correct
That is LOVE
Stand up for offense
That
is MISTAKE.
Our own
Our joy is our own,
Our bitterness
is our own,
Our hatred is also our own.
These, no one
can share with us.
Gossip
With wood, fire
burns bright,
With gossip,
quarrel never quells.
YET, gossip is
so tasty.
Anger
Churn milk, get
butter;
Hit a nose, it
bleeds;
Stir up anger,
you are in trouble.
