Mother asks her tiny tot:
“What comes after Friday?”
Child shrugs her shoulders twice,
“After Friday … what’s that ma?”
“When I was like you,
I told my mom it is Saturday.
How lucky my mother was!
Your classmate Bindu knows it,
And her mummy tells me
Bindu gets the first rank.
How fortunate Bindu’s mummy is!”
“What mummy,” says the child,
“Is the contest between Bindu and me,
Or, between Bindu’s mummy and you?”
