I sing along ...

When life drags into old age, I like to sing along with Julie Andrews:

“When the  joints ache, When the hips break,
When the eyes grow  dim, Then I remember the great life I've had, And  then I don't feel so bad.”

In Munnar's blissful embrace, my childhood days,

A heaven on earth, where nature's beauty did swirl.

Summer vacations in a cool-climate so rare,

Filled my soul with joy; I had a carefree life.

Education in Marthandam and Duthie H.S.S,

Guided me through learning and pursuit of knowledge.

A journey long, through Trichy's H.C.C,

And Nagercoil's H.C.C, where I grew to be.

For 38 years, I taught language and literature,

Creative Writing and Journalism did I pursue,

To guide scholars, a research degree I earned,

And today, contented and happy, I remain.

From heart and mind, my words will flow

Inspired or imitated, I do not know

Each piece a bead, unique and bright

In "BEADS" they rest, this blog of mine.

A necklace of words, a work of art

Each bead a thought, straight from the heart

Objective or subjective, it matters not

For in these beads, a piece of me is caught.
