Hoping for a cure, but all in vain …
Then Jesus came and asked him this:
"Do you want to be healed? Arise!
The man replied, "I have no one
To help me reach the water when it's stirred "
Jesus said, "Get up, take your mat
And walk, be healed, do not look back."
At once the man was cured and set free
He rose, he walked, he jumped for joy.
The crowd was amazed, they saw the sight;
The man was now walking and praising God.
Let us learn from this wondrous tale
That healing comes when we trust in Jesus.
Whose servant was sick,
He heard of Jesus and sought Him out
That You should come home
But just speak the word
With just a word, the servant was healed.
Let us have faith like the centurion
A man with a withered hand did appear.
The Pharisees watched, looking to accuse,
And in the midst of them, Jesus took his hand.
The Pharisees' hearts remained hard and tight.
Jesus spoke to them with righteous ire:
The Sabbath was made for man's benefit.
Lived a man who couldn't hear,
Until a healer came one day,
With gentle touch and tender care,
And made him feel once again whole.
And slowly, the man began to hear.
To form words with his lips and cheeks,
And soon the man was able to express,
All the emotions he had long suppressed.
For healing is not just about the cure,
It's about compassion, love, and more,
It's about seeing beyond the pain,
His touch brought forth a miracle unheard.
The man who once couldn't speak a sound
For they had never witnessed such a cure before
The mute man now spoke with ease
To hear the songs of the once-mute man.
All thanks to the one who had come
A man possessed by demons, roamed so free.
He cut himself with stones, and cried out in despair
Until one day, Jesus came to heal and repair.
Asking, "What do you want with me, Jesus?"
Jesus commanded the unclean spirits to leave
And the man was set free from the torment of devils.
Let us enter into the herd of pigs that graze out there."
Jesus granted their request, and the demons entered the swine
And they plunged into the sea, drowning in the waves.
Went and told the town, and all who would hear
That Jesus had authority over all things,
And with his grace and mercy, we too can be restored.
