Respect the old when you are young,
For their stories hold treasures unsung.
Learn from their wisdom, their triumphs and pain,
For their lives are a guide, a map to your gain.

Help the weak when you are strong,
For kindness and empathy never go wrong.
Lift up the downtrodden, the broken, the lost,
Life's journey is a gift, a precious song.

In the Holy Bible we read in Timothy 5:1-3: "Never speak harshly to an older man, but appeal to him respectfully as you would to your own father. Talk to younger men as you would to your own brothers. Treat older women as you would your mother, and treat younger women with all purity as you would your own sisters. Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her."
