A Requiem for my Beloved Sister

 *Forever in our Thoughts,*

*Always in our Hearts*

In the realm of family, first in line,

A shining star in the first batch of Holy Cross College, Nagercoil.

Favoured student of the founding Principal,

Exceptionally bright intellectually, competitions she conquered,

With national leaders she interacted,

And her confidence blossomed, strong and neat.

With leadership's magic, her path she explored.

Ascending the ladder of careers,

Principalship she attained in Colleges three.

JD of Mangalore region, title well-deserved,

"Madam Perfection" and "Lady Integrity" -

Rightful praises she won, and we rejoiced.

In "Shradhanjali", scholars commended her high,

As they find in her PhD, feminism's essence,

Positive pathways, a beacon for minds,

Encouraging researchers in her scholarly space.

True! In her, creativity and wisdom entwined,

To weave a pattern of thoughts,  a symphony of ideas.

Ardent reader, dedicated researcher, an accomplished writer,

Skills and languages, she gathered avidly.

To top it all, modesty adorned her accomplishments rare;

Simplicity, humility and quiet strength others did see;

Her kindness and warmth, a source of pride to us all;

Dr. Linda Christy's name we'll forever treasure.

She was behind Dr. Carlos (Thamizhavan) and dear Sujay's bloom,

Her support and love they did richly consume.

Born in Marthandam, nurtured in ethereal Munnar in God's own land,

Cherished by uncles and grandparents; Mr. Wilfred and Mrs. Harriet, her parents dear;

Jansy, Latha, Kumar and Sophia,  her siblings  four.

Loved and admired by all, she  remained a beacon of affection.

Worries of the world, anxieties of life, she did face,

Now in celestial peace, her soul does rest.

Safe in Jesus' arms, no grievances she knows,

Linda's spirit in the eternal land, glows.

From troubles released, her soul has found peace,

Though, on earth,  her absence we deeply share.
