In youth's golden age,
I danced with grace,
Swift feet in rooms,
A bustling chase.
Order from chaos,
Cooking, washing, serving,
With vigour, I juggled

Shouldering burdens
With a smile on lips.
No question to ask,
Saying "yes" to
The world's every task,
Loads of duties,
A multilayered flask.
But time, relentless,
Its toll it takes,
Sight fades,
Teeth vanish,
Hair forsakes,
Aged and worn,
As the years quake,
