Archetypal Brothers
In the beginning, when the world was young
Two brothers walked beneath the sun
Their names Cain and Abel, so the story goes,
One tiller of soil, the other keeper of flock.
Cain, the elder, worked on the land with sweat,
Abel, the younger, tended sheep with care.
They took their offerings - Cain brought fruit,
Abel brought a lamb, a symbol of love.
The Lord accepted Abel's gift with grace
While Cain's offering was met with stern face. Jealousy and anger boiled inside of Cain
As he watched his brother's favour and gain.
One day in the field, Cain did approach
And with a rock, he struck a deadly blow
Abel fell to the ground, his life now gone
The first murder committed, a tragedy dawned.
Cain fled in fear, knowing what he had done,
His brother's blood stained the earth and crime began.
Jealousy is a green-eyed monster, it's been said
And it led Cain to spill his brother's blood.
From this archetypal tale, we can learn
That envy and anger can cause bridges to burn.
The consequences of our actions can be dire,
So let us choose love over jealousy and ire.
And it led Cain to spill his brother's blood.
From this archetypal tale, we can learn
That envy and anger can cause bridges to burn.

So let us choose love over jealousy and ire.
[ LOFTY LANGUAGE OF LINE DRAWINGS
My description of myself is "Latha Lal: the Little lamb on the Lord's Lap".
My favourite Bible has illustrations of the wonders of the Bible, in line drawings, and I love the lofty language of these lines.
Following those lines, I have sketched a few drawings that I wish to preserve in a few posts.
The emotions conveyed, the feelings expressed and the messages contained in these lines are amazing to me. ]
